Hello Donors, my name is Kourtney, and I’m asking for help to save my cat, Copper L.

Copper is currently suffering from a life-threatening urinary blockage, or better known as a Blocked Tom, which is a medical emergency commonly for male cats. We recently rushed him to the vet, where he needed catheterization, IV fluids, medications, and hospitalization just to stabilize him. We’ve already done everything we can financially to get him the care he needs so far. For a short time, it seemed like he was improving, but this morning, it felt like everything reverted back to last week where we started. unfortunately his condition has declined again. He’s still showing concerning signs, including discomfort, and our vet has confirmed that he has re-blocked and needed to be brought back in. At this point, the vet has told us that because this has now happened a second time (within a week), it may be time to move forward with a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU surgery), a major but often corrective procedure that helps prevent future blockages.

This could bring the total cost of his care to $4,000–$6,000, and we are not in a position to cover that on our own after already paying for his initial emergency treatment.

Copper means everything to me, and he is only 3 years old and still has so much life ahead of him, and I’m hoping to give him the chance to live it..
