Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this. This is Bubo, she is a 9-year-old Pineapple Green Cheek Conure. I've had her since she was barely 3 months old; she is my world! And she needs your help desperately! In a freak accident involving a dog, her right leg was broken. It wasn't an attack; it was just a freak, unavoidable accident. She's already been seen by an emergency vet. Unfortunately, that particular vet clinic does not have anyone that specifically works on birds. So after a $610 bill, I was sent home with an x-ray of a misaligned fracture, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, pain meds, and an "I'm so sorry, there's nothing we can do here."
I've been able to get her to a vet that knows avian veterinary and Bubo has a bright pink splint that looks almost like a tiny cast!
There's a treatment plan that's going to take 3 additional visits over the next month.
The initial visit I was able to pay. The next 3 visits, while doable, will put a severe strain on the finances.
The projected costs for the next 3 visits have been broken down below and posted as pics.
11/3/25
exotic/avian office call recheck $80
bandage application $72
Isoflurane sedation exotic small $91
total $243

This does not include the loss of work hours as I do have some flexibility in that respect and I can make up some of the missed hours.
Please consider making a donation. It would really ease the financial strain.
Thank you
