Hey everyone,
I recently discovered a small colony of stray cats, and since then, I’ve been going back daily to feed them and give them water. Most of them were already in poor condition, but one in particular — Charlie (around 11 years old) — was in very serious condition, with a severe infection in his eyes and looking extremely weak and exhausted.
Alongside him were two other cats, Stella (2 years old) and Mary (8 years old). We were able to rescue all three of them, and we are now doing everything we can to help them recover.
With the funds already raised, we managed to take all three to a veterinary consultation and start medication. Unfortunately, they now require further medical procedures.
Stella is currently on anti-inflammatory treatment. Mary is also being treated for her eye condition and wounds, but both girls need dental extractions, which are estimated at around $1500 for each of them.
Charlie is the most urgent case. He needs surgery for his eye condition as well as tooth extractions, and his total treatment is estimated at around $3,200.
I've reached out to local rescue organisations, but unfortunately, they are currently at full capacity. They were kind enough to help me get discounted veterinary care, but even with that support, the total cost is still more than I can afford.
They have an urgent need:
- veterinary treatment (including medication)
- Ongoing care and monitoring
- at least two weeks in cattery to safely recover
I'm doing everything I can to help him.
If you are able to contribute, even a small amount, it would mean so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Any support is deeply appreciated.
