Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart and a humbled spirit. My beloved husky Bowie, who’s been my best friend and constant companion for the past 3 years, had to undergo an emergency surgery today. He’s not just my dog—he’s my heart and the very reason I became passionate about rescuing huskies in the first place.
Out of nowhere, Bowie developed a painful abscess on his anal gland. By the time we got to the vet, it had already ruptured. He was rushed into surgery where the area had to be flushed and stitched. He also needed bloodwork, sedation, multiple strong antibiotics, painkillers, and a biopsy to guide treatment.
The cost was immediate and overwhelming.
Love’s Legacy Rescue—an incredible organization I’ve worked with—stepped in to help cover a portion of Bowie’s surgery up front, so he could get the care he urgently needed. Because of their generosity, I am donating 50% of all funds raised here back to Love’s Legacy Rescue to help them continue doing this lifesaving work for other dogs.
The other 50% will help me recover from the portion I paid out of pocket—which has left me financially drained—and support Bowie’s ongoing care. At this point, we don’t know whether his recovery will be straightforward or if he’ll require continued treatments to prevent future issues. Either way, I want to do everything I can to keep him healthy and pain-free.
Funds will go toward:
My portion of Bowie’s surgery and emergency treatment
Medications and post-op care
Biopsy results and any follow-up diagnostics
Ongoing treatments if needed
If you’ve ever loved a dog, if Bowie has ever made you smile, or if you simply want to help an animal in need—your support would mean the world to us. Every donation, share, or kind word helps us through this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Treasure & Bowie
