Hello everyone!! Our little local rescue received its first very critical care patient: a nearly dead 6-week-old, black & white kitten. Unfortunately, he was received on a Sunday when no local vet was open and had to go to VESH in South Deerfield. If his issues weren’t immediately addressed, he would have died. He was breathing but nearly unconscious and floppy. Even though he was there only overnight, his bill was $1800. Ann managed to negotiate his bill down to $1200. Because he required an IV, it was not care we could have administered to him. We are not set up for critical care cases but what would you have done? Big hearts result in big credit card bills! Please help us with his care! We will be posting updates! Thank you to all who wish to skip a latte or two or maybe even dinner out to donate!
