Urgent Care for Navy Veteran Timothy Yeager
Donation protected
My name is Michael Yeager, youngest sibling of the father of 4 in this story. My father, Timothy A. Yeager, a United States Navy Veteran, a legend of an era, was diagnosed with an earth-shattering, mid to late stage small cell carcinoma, aggressive and fast-paced, lung and bone cancer. A mass of cancer cells made their way to his spine, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. With the positive outlook and attitude that this man has, he should live forever. Unfortunately, the medical system seems to be treating his situation as if he really does have all the time in the world. The case worker in the hospital that he stayed at for almost two weeks, the one that was supposed to take care of everything—setting him up with supplies, a bed, a wheelchair, reconstruction of the home—completely avoided this man for the length of his stay in the hospital because she was too afraid to tell him that his insurance wouldn’t cover things he needs, and showed no sense of urgency whatsoever. I’m not sure if reaching out like this for a 73-year-old man, on a fixed income, who you may or may not know, will be worthwhile, but it’s worth a shot and I’ll do anything for my Dad, especially to give him a better quality of life! Anything helps!
Thanks, from a Loving Son
