My name is Amy and I am the daughter of Lynne and George Berghoff. On Sunday, July 13, 2025, my mother, Lynne Corley Berghoff, was rushed to the emergency room after the family noticed symptoms of a stroke. It was determined that she suffered a large ischemic stroke to the right occipital portion of the brain. This type of stroke comes with visual complications and motor issues on her left side. She was in the hospital in ICU for a very scary week and on Friday, July 18th, she was transferred to an acute rehabilitation facility to continue to recover. She was very lucky to have survived and will require continued long-term care. At the same time, my dad, George Berghoff, was suffering from bronchitis and AFIB and was himself rushed to the ER on Friday, July 18th. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and is the hospital slowly improving.
The family is looking for donations in order to assist Lynne and George moving forward during this tumultuous and unprecedented time in their lives. The main goal is obtaining and maintaining proper post-facility care. This comes with complications as their car broke down recently, and their home really isn't set up for a recent stroke patient. Lynne will most likely need accommodations and/or repairs made to the home in order for her to be able to go home, which she wants very much!
Any donations or shares are greatly appreciated, and all donations will go directly to their new set of needs.
Thank you and God Bless! Your kindness and generosity have lifted their spirits and aided in their recovery for sure!!
