Urgent Care for Lola, Our Beloved Dog

My name is Laura and this is my friend and beloved fur baby, Lola. She is also lovingly known as LolaButt, WiggleButt, SnuggleButt, Puppers, Pupperkins, and my husband calls her Countess! Lola has been with me through some tough times and now she is really going through it herself. She has pneumonia and was admitted unexpectedly to VCA South Paws in Fairfax last night, March 13. She is a trooper and has overcome two knee surgeries, a significant fall, and lives happily with a manageable heart condition. Unfortunately, her pet insurance maximum is met and the hospital expects to keep her 1-2 more nights which is likely to be $7000+ that we were definitely not planning on.

My husband has been ill and not able to work right now, so we are looking for any loving help we can get to take care of our girl.

Lola is know by her primary vet as one of their easiest and best patients. She is a stoic and brave dog never fighting or hurting anyone one as they have poked and prodded her. She loves her people/pack and gets a thrill for a walk followed by snuggles on the couch. When she sees her people she wiggles her whole body and carries the spirit of a puppy even in her older age.
