Urgent Care for Emaciated Great Pyrenees

UPDATE on Momma's family: This sweet momma, who came into our care just last week with her three precious pups, is making beautiful strides. Not only is she healing from her own ailments, but she’s now beginning to nurse her babies—something we didn’t know if she’d be strong enough to do. Her quiet strength and nurturing heart are a gift to witness.
None of this would be possible without the incredible dedication of Dr. Stoller and the compassionate team at BelaCoop Animal Hospital. Their round-the-clock care and unwavering attention have given this little family a true shot at recovery and comfort.
And to our supporters—you are the reason we can continue to say “yes” to moments like this. Your generosity, shares, prayers, and presence make a difference we feel in our bones. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Thank you, from our whole hearts.

Just three days ago, we received an urgent plea for help: a young, emaciated female Great Pyrenees had been found living beneath an abandoned home. Rescuers watched as she tried desperately to retreat under the house—and discovered why. Hidden beneath the floorboards were her six newborn puppies, barely a day or two old.

Momma and her tiny family were immediately gathered and brought into our care. Tragically, she was so malnourished—little more than skin and bones—that her body couldn’t produce enough milk to sustain them. Despite our best efforts, three of her babies didn’t survive.

But we are doing everything in our power to change that narrative for the remaining pups and their devoted mother.

Right now, this precious family is receiving round-the-clock care at BelaCoop Animal Hospital, where Dr. Stoller and her compassionate team have stepped in with unmatched dedication and love. Momma arrived with sores infested with maggots—her condition heartbreaking. She was immediately treated to a warm, soothing bath, while her babies were gently bottle-fed by the staff. Their kindness and expertise have given this little family a fighting chance, and we are so deeply grateful.

In just 24 hours, we’re already seeing glimmers of hope. Momma is wagging her tail, seeking out affection, and showing us her beautiful spirit. She’s being fed throughout the day to help her regain strength, and we’re hopeful her milk will return, so that she can resume some feedings for her babies. In the meantime, her puppies are being bottle-fed every two hours and are gaining strength.

We don’t yet know how long they’ll need the intensive care of BelaCoop’s amazing team—but we do know that we can’t do it without you.

Please consider donating to help us cover Momma’s veterinary care, food, and ongoing support for her and her pups. Your generosity means the world to this brave girl and her babies, and to all of us fighting for their future.
