Hi Animal Lovers! My mom, Mary Davis, has recently found herself in a financially difficult and stressful situation! She is truly a lover of animals and has had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. But unfortunately, about 3 years ago, she suffered a serious foot injury that forced her into retirement, and now she lives on a very fixed income.

I say all this to provide some context of the change she faces with her dog Dakota and cat, Mickey. First, Dakota sustained an injury to his leg requiring surgery. Mom has done everything she could to find the most economical vet and is currently working with Helping Hands, but the cost of the surgery is expected to be about $3,500.

During the process of finding help for Dakota, her cat Mickey became very sick and was diagnosed with FIP. The medicine and vet bill has already reached $2,000.

Between the two, she will end up paying out almost 25% of her annual income! Therefore, I have set up this GoFundMe campaign in hopes to not only help her with the immediate needs for Dakota and Mickey but also to appeal to your generosity in setting up a fund for future care.
