Urgent Care for Babu's Leg Infection

We saw Banbanna ("Babu") walking down a street in Mysore, limping and barefoot, near Agrahara Circle. We stopped to talk to him and give him some snacks and water.

Babu’s story is heartbreaking. Three years ago, a bicycle accident left him with broken lower legs. Although he received initial treatment, an infection set in, and he has been unable to afford the necessary follow-up care.

Understanding the severity of his condition, we took Babu to see our doctor. After an X-ray and thorough examination, the doctor recommended urgent surgery to perform debridement and remove the problematic rod in his leg. Babu is now admitted to Sanchalana Hospital, where his surgery will cost approximately $2,500.

Having relocated to Mysore from Shimoga 30 years ago, Babu has lost touch with his family and is living alone and homeless. At around 67 years old, he wants to work but is unable to because of his debilitating injuries.

This is where we can all help. Any amount you can contribute will make a significant difference in Babu's life, and every dollar will go directly toward his medical care. Together, let’s show Babu that hope and compassion still exist in this world.
