Help Save Alfred — Urgent Heart Care Needed
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because my sweet cat, Alfie (Alfred, Alfredo), is very sick and needs urgent care. He’s only 6 years old. Conrad found him as a tiny kitten in a West Bottoms cat colony and gifted him to me. I named him Alfie because of his big ears, like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals.
He was born with a heart murmur, and over the past few months, his condition has worsened. He developed fluid in his lungs as his heart struggled to pump, and more recently, he’s been retaining fluid in his abdomen. He’s now in heart failure and struggling to breathe.
Alfie used to be such an active, playful cat—an avid hunter who would run like a gazelle through the field. He’s also the biggest cuddle bug, always tucked under the sheets right next to me, and he loves basking in the sun.
He urgently needs to see a cardiologist for an echocardiogram this Tuesday. The cost is $811, and I’m not able to cover it in time on my own.
If you can donate or share, it would mean so much. I just want to give him the best chance possible.
Thank you,
Samantha
