Apatcia Leo is dealing with a rare, fast growing cancer, undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma, grade 3/3, stage 3. Timing is critical. The large sarcoma is growing in critical pelvic muscles and amongst major nerves. It must be shrunk immediately. BC Cancer Agency advises their treatments will not reduce this largely unstudied tumor type; and surgery will result in serious permanent impairment or loss of her leg. The required therapies are very costly (Germany/United States with a mid six figure price); two specialized oncology clinics are ready to treat Apatcia — funding is the only barrier to access.Apatcia has managed everything independently, declining offers of crowdfunding support — even when significant funds were available. She is physically depleted and in financial challenge, unable to work with declining health due to overexertion. Support is needed now for immediate basic needs, medications and to start treatment. Apatcia Leo is a deeply compassionate, physically active bird and animal lover. She is rooted in an independent, outdoor lifestyle, including years of wilderness equine trekking. Those fortunate to have received her massage therapy sessions will remember her steady, warm presence and commitment to supporting people navigating complex issues such as chronic dizziness and nerve pain. Even while facing her own significant physical challenges, Apatcia continues to move forward with determination and quiet strength.
