On Aug 21st 2026, I unexpectedly faced death. | Updated version |
I had a major seizure and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance several times that week.
A CT Scan and MRI scan, revealed a brain tumour with a lot of oedema build up around it, causing even more problems.
A brain surgery was necessary within preferably 2 weeks.
In the meantime the medical team tried to stabilise me, preventing more seizures from happening. The doses became increased, new medication and IV added.
I suffered from a lot of side effects and crippling fear of death.
Until this happened, I was living a simple, healthy conscious and mindful life.
I’m a big animal lover, and I’ve been travelling while building my online business, volunteering and caring for pets along the way.
Trying to find a place I could call home.
As the rug was pulled from under me, I saw my desired life dissipate before me. So close, yet maybe never fully lived.
Within 2 days I got a call in the evening: they had a spot for me the next morning.
I was terrified and yet felt so blessed. This was my cue and I was taking it.
I think I am now 1 week post surgery. I’m still heavy medicated, so a lot is often blurry and surreal.
I’m reaching out to you now because I could really use a lifeline, some (non medical) help & support.
All my projects, business plans, home search/belonging and pet care has abruptly come to an end.
I will do all that I know and I am capable of to return to a higher healthy quality of life.
Life is happening now, in the midst of it all. I will have to find a new way to move with it.
I honestly didn’t thought I would see this day, so I am beyond grateful and starting to easy a bit into feeling safe again.
So, if any of this resonates and you’re able and willing to contribute, share, support my journey or help in any kind of way. I would appreciate it.
It would help me get through this incredibly difficult time, with hope, maybe new connections and give me the space and security I need to focus on my recovery and healing.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being here with me.
