Urgent: Bring Mom's Ashes Home

My sister and I are creating this GoFundMe together to try and bring our mother home. Our mother sadly lost her battle to stage 4 cancer in October. She was cremated per her wishes at Meierhoffer Funeral Home and Crematory. She did not have life insurance, and we had fallen on hard times and could not afford to pay the bill for the cremation, so they have been holding her cremated remains since October 2024.

We received a letter that we have until May 11, 2025, to pay the bill or they will place her ashes in the Saint Joseph Memorial Park Ossuary. We do not want this but are on a fixed income and cannot afford it. We just want to bring our mother home. She was a wonderful, thoughtful, caring, loving woman. She always gave a helping hand and would give the shirt off her back for another in need. Anything would help. Even if you don't feel comfortable donating to the GoFundMe, any donation to her account at Meierhoffer would be greatly appreciated.
