I have come to the realization that my family is in a massive emergency. Our landlord has lied to us and twisted the truth about our rent, causing us to not only be unaware of what we're meant to pay but also make this situation confusing legally.

We have lost our power due to a sudden notice from Con Edison that we owe a massive amount of money. This fundraiser is all it is for, to pay or move from here, possibly having to do both.

I don't want to beg, but it really is urgent. Without power at all (typing this from free Wi-Fi, local givings be blessed), we're not sure how much time we have left before we lose water, too.

Please share as much as you can. If enough people spare a dollar, we will have this goal. If they spend five, it'll be even quicker. I won't ask for more than just one donation or share per person (or both!)

Please do not spend what you can't give. I am but a stranger that needs help and needs a dream, but I can't force you to do anything.

As i'm a college student, I don't know how this will affect my life as of current. I'm in with scholarships, but it doesn't mean or cover everything. This can be drastic to that part of my life.
