I am Babatunde Ijeboi. I started my medical journey when I was diagnosed with a chemical imbalance of the brain, which resulted in me having a stroke and hypertension, and I've been on medication since 2009.

In 2023, I was taken to a medical emergency, and then I was informed that my heart is beating slowly and that I will need a pacemaker. In July 2023, I did the first surgery of putting a pacemaker on my left side of my chest, but I had an infection, so they had to remove the pacemaker to stop the infection from spreading. I had to undergo another surgery to evacuate the area where pus was coming out, causing swelling, serious pain, and discomfort. All this was done in LASUTH. Another evacuation was done again. Then doctors from the UK came and put back the pacemaker, now on the right side, and worked on the infected area, but the pus in the infected area was still coming out, and the area became very hard and painful. So, I was referred to a plastic surgeon (Dr. Adesina) who did a great job in evacuating the infected area totally. Now, there is no more pain and swelling of the chest. I was discharged from LASUTH Hospital in January.

But a week later, I was taken back to the hospital because I had serious pain in my neck area and a headache that I had never had before in my life. I was taken to the laboratory for tests, and the CT showed that I had veins on my left side burst, and the blood was on my brain. So, the team of consultants concluded that I could not undergo open brain surgery and that I should go for a coiling procedure. But in LASUTH, they do not have a specialist that can do that, so they advised me to find another hospital that can. In the process of consulting others, it was discovered that there are two veins that needed to be worked on, one has burst, and the other is about to. So I need to get the surgery done fast. But it will cost me $30,000. I am in need of financial help to enable me to get the surgery done.
