Hi everyone! I am so so sorry to have to do this but I have hit a VERY VERY hard time and am in real danger of homelessness and I desperately need help! I find mysel, at 64, with nothing in savings, no pension nor 401k, health problems that have landed me in hospital twice recently. I fully expected to be working for the rest of my life but suddenly I don't seem to be able to support myself. Most of my job experience has been in the office/admin assistant area as well as some phone customer service and as a Notary Public, and for the last couple of years I have been living on long term temp assignments through RobertHalf and Real Estate Loan Signing Agent assignments as well as unemployment insurance, but unfortunately, since the beginning of the year, temp assignments have suddenly dried up and we all know how devistated the real estate market has become. This month, the last of my UE grant was used,and not much worth selling! I have made basic bill for July but in August I will not even be able to pay rent on the studio apartment in which I have lived since 1987 (so my landlord is frothing to toss me out because my rent is still 3 digits-barely!). I am applying for rental assistance programs but they note that it will take at least 8 weeks for them to even EVALUATE an application, by that time I may be living in a box in the tenderloin! I am asking donations to help me survive for a few months while I continue to search for income! If I can raise $2-$6,00 it would be AMAZING and I woudl be so grateful. I swear on my soul that when I get back on my feet I WILL pay it forward and do all I can to help someone in trouble. I thank you in advance so much for any help!
