I have a knot in my throat and literal tears in my eyes right now. I need help. I need YOUR help. I have never asked for help like this in my life and prayed I would never have to be in a position to even have to ask for help from the community. I have been dealing with three fractures in my spine. One on my C7, one on my T1, and another on my T2. I have tears running down my face and my girlfriend by my side as I type this. I just got off the phone with my mom.

I currently have an appointment on Tuesday that will be the start of a regular visit, another one in January. Apparently, this only gets worse as I get older and I may need to have surgery to have cement placed into my spine soon, but will start to find out more on Tuesday. I am in an incredible amount of pain every day. I wish it weren't true and as much as I try to fight the pain, I struggle to sit up for more than a few minutes without feeling the need to rest.

My partner has been working so hard to step up to be the provider and it hurts my whole heart and soul to not be able to provide. I feel humiliated. I'm so sorry. I don't know what to do other than ask the community for help. This is my literal lowest point as a man, right now. I fear we're not going to be able to keep up with rent because I can't work and we will become homeless. Our food assistance is about to be cut and unfortunately, I am currently dependent on assistance. I already deal with anxiety and depression while my partner and I have been working to make ends meet and barely staying afloat. I'm working on getting a settlement but that's a work in progress without an end date in sight yet. I was rear-ended by a vehicle going the full speed limit who apparently didn't see me stopped ahead and the whiplash fractured my spine in multiple places. I'm thankful to be alive so I keep trying to act like everything is okay but it's not. I'm not, and I NEED help. Literally anything helps and everything I will be grateful for!

My partner has been dealing with a punishment at her job for messing up a recipe and accidentally wasting like 20 lbs of cheese, but the type of corrective action where they cut her hours to 8 a week. Anything we can contribute to paying these bills is deeply appreciated.
