My name is Nick Russo and I really could use some help. We are in serious financial trouble..

In January I had a major spinal injury, and was paralyzed from the waist down. I needed 3 emergency surgeries, and was given a spinal fusion in my thoracic area (my lower neck) and had several lower herniated disks removed. I was in a wheelchair for several months, but I am slowly getting back on my feet. However, I do still have very limited mobility and lots of nerve pain, and can't really feel my feet or lower legs still. As many of you know, I used to run a pool cleaning service, but after the injury I was forced to close it down because I simply cannot do that kind of work anymore, and finding someone to run it for me was not possible at the time. It has unfortunately been closed for business and everything has already be been sold off months ago, which is the only thing that has kept us going since the incident.

I have been out of work since January, and now we are in dire need of some help. Our savings is gone and our credit cards are maxed out. We will not even be able to make our regular bills, much less have literally anything left over for groceries or anything else... We are literally flat broke and I am panicking. I've been trying to find a job, but it's not easy finding something I can do with my limited ability, as I don't really have much office experience. I am definitely trying though, I'm looking and applying everyday. I have a Linked-in profile, and I'm on Indeed applying everywhere I can.

I have applied for disability of course, but I've already gotten my first denial and am in the appeals process, but as anyone who's familiar with this system knows it can take a year or more to finally get approved for any type of benefits or even just health coverage, even with a lawyer.

I am trying everything I can to make ends meet, and will probably be going to the blood bank tomorrow just to get anything I can for groceries. I've already sold just about everything I can, and still have a few item up on FB marketplace if anyone needs a good laptop or electric piano, it would certainly help keep us afloat a little while longer.

I'm very humbled and ashamed to ask, but if anyone can spare anything to help us get through until I can find some manner of work it would be tremendously appreciated. This is not easy for me to ask, I've always tried to be as self sufficient as I can, but I'm out of options and need some real help.
