Urgent: Assist Donna Rebuild Her Life After Helene Flooding

Hi, my name is Jim Lehr and I am setting up this GoFundMe account for my sister Donna Lehr. Donna lives in Gulfport Florida, and unfortunately, her apartment was completely flooded by hurricane Helene. Thankfully, and by the Grace of God, she was staying on the second floor at her neighbors watching their cat along with Donna‘s two cats, Sherbert and Weasley. The water in her apartment which flooded right in from Boca Ciega Bay was at least 4 to 5 feet in her apartment. Cars were floating in the parking lot. Everything Donna owned was destroyed, and she has been left with very little of personal effects. Donna is 69 years old and retired and on fixed income with previous health issues, which makes it hard for her to get around. Along with all the furniture and personal goods that were destroyed, she also lost her mobility scooter, which was her main source of getting around town. Luckily, we have been able to find Donna another apartment in town fairly quickly in a higher area to hopefully not flood again. I live in Miami Beach, but have been here for a week helping my sister get through this difficult time. The funds raised would be used to buy furniture, clothes, all the little necessities for life that she has lost along with a very important new mobility scooter. As I write this another hurricane, Milton, is on its way and looks like it will be a cat. 2 or 3 direct hit on Gulfport Florida or St. Petersburg, which is right next-door. Donna has been through a lot in the last couple of years and it’s hard to watch the stress that this is putting on her. She is strong and I’m here helping her get through this difficult part but asking for help for her. Thank you in advance, her brother Jim Lehr.
