Urgent appeal to evacuate my family from Gaza

Hi, I’m Reem, currently residing in the United Kingdom, while my family in Gaza is grappling with the severe and perilous conditions resulting from the continuous Israeli airstrikes.

In the initial stages of the conflict, my sisters, their spouses, and children sought refuge in our family home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City. Regrettably, on October 23, the house was bombed, leading to the tragic loss of Abdul Karim, the husband of my sister Nadia. His passing left behind his wife Nadia and five children, the youngest being a six-year-old. Numerous family members sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The destruction of the house meant my father lost a lifetime of hard work and possessions, and my two sisters lost their homes.

The family, displaced by the bombings, sought shelter in a nearby school, which was subsequently targeted with white phosphorus.

Escaping to the Nuseirat camp, the family found refuge in the home of a relative, enduring challenging circumstances. The looming Israeli threat of a complete evacuation prompted the family to relocate to Deir al-Balah a week ago, devoid of even the basic necessities for humane living.

My father, Ziyad, aged 73, and my mother, Zainab, aged 67, are battling several illnesses and lack adequate medical treatment as their diabetes medication has run out.

The total number of family members is 25, with most being children, and I am seeking your support to assist in evacuating them from Gaza to secure their safety. I am in need of a total sum of £125,000 for the required exit permits, which equates to £5,000 for each individual.

Your financial support, no matter the size, will significantly contribute to the urgent evacuation efforts and ensuring the safety of my family. The funds collected will be used transparently for their evacuation.
