My name is Ahmed Elwan from Gaza Palestine , and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my family: my wife Ayah and our two daughters, Kenza and Eleen. After enduring several harrowing months amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza, we find ourselves surrounded by widespread destruction and an alarming lack of security, food, and medical care.
My wife, Ayah, has been in severe pain for the past seven months due to complications following a corneal transplant. She urgently needs to have her stitches removed, but the dire conditions in Gaza have made it nearly impossible to access necessary medical treatment.
We are desperate to escape the pervasive cycle of suffering and death that now surrounds us. Our home has been destroyed, and my employment has been lost. The humanitarian aid that does reach Gaza seldom reaches us, making even basic sustenance a daily struggle. Food is scarce and exorbitantly priced when available.
The only viable option for us to escape this dire situation is to pay for evacuation through Rafah at the Egyptian border. Egypt has set a fee of $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child for evacuation, a sum we cannot afford given our current circumstances.
We urgently seek your assistance to raise the funds needed to evacuate and secure the medical treatment Ayah requires. Your support will not only provide us with a chance to escape this devastating environment but also enable Ayah to regain her health and our family to rebuild our lives.
