My Story:

My name is Mohammed. I am a father of two boys: Osama (7 years old) and Adam (4 years old). My wife is also 5 months pregnant, and we were waiting with hope to welcome our new baby into a safe world. But the war has taken everything from us.

The hardest part of my story is that my older sister and her husband were killed in the bombing. They left behind their children, and now I am fully responsible for raising them along with my own. Overnight, I became a father to two families—while I don’t even have a home anymore.

Today we live under a torn tent. My children and my sister’s orphans sleep on the ground, shivering from the cold. My pregnant wife urgently needs medical care and nutrition that I cannot provide. Every day I hear my little boy ask me, “Daddy, do we have bread today?”—and I stand helpless in front of their innocent eyes.
