Urgent Appeal for Support: Stem Cell Therapy for Greg’s Pain

**The Challenge:**

My father, Gregory Wynn, has struggled with chronic pain for as long as I can remember. After exhausting all available options through his healthcare network, we are seeking funds for innovative stem cell therapy that offers a real hope for significant recovery. Unfortunately, this therapy is not covered by insurance and comes with a hefty price tag, but it may be one of the few paths left to improve my dad's mobility and quality of life.

**A Bit About My Dad:**

Greg was born in California but moved with his mother and brother to Florence, Oregon, when he was young. In high school, he was a promising baseball pitcher, but that's when he first experienced intense pain in his arm—pain that no doctor could explain. He describes it as feeling like "lightning bolts going up my arm," bringing him to tears.

As the years passed, his condition worsened, affecting his entire body. His right side is noticeably shorter and smaller than his left, leading to severe scoliosis. In the late 1990s, he was sent to the Mayo Clinic, where tests revealed swelling in his spinal cord but ruled out tumors. Unfortunately, as time has gone on, the pain has escalated, resulting in debilitating spasms and chills.

Doctors have primarily prescribed pain medications, and he even had a medical pump implanted in his abdomen to deliver medication. But now, those treatments are no longer effective. He’s been told that surgery is not an option due to the high risk of [worse] damage. Every day brings worsening pain, and on some days, he can hardly move.

It’s heartbreaking to witness someone you love struggle so much, feeling powerless to help. I’m hoping that enough of you will read this and feel moved to support us during this challenging time.
