I'm reaching out to you with a heart heavy but hopeful. Your time spent reading this means the world to me, and I want to express my deepest gratitude for your consideration. In the past year and a half, life threw curveballs that tested my strength and resilience. It began on September 19, 2022, with the unexpected and sudden farewell to my beloved Chica, my certified therapy dog and constant companion. The impact of her loss echoed beyond emotions, reaching into the very fabric of my life. Shortly after, the challenges continued as I had to bid farewell to a career I thought would define my future. The emotional toll, coupled with the loss of Chica, led to a life-changing moment that left me without a job—the Monday after Thanksgiving. Undeterred by adversity, the beginning of 2023 saw me taking a courageous step to start my own pet sitting business. The journey was challenging, with wonderful souls supporting and believing in me. However, I soon realized that pet sitting alone wouldn't keep me afloat. To make ends meet, I took on various delivery services, putting extreme strain on my aging vehicle. Despite managing to cover bills, survival became a daily struggle, leading to delayed maintenance on my vehicle. The breaking point arrived on December 15, 2023, when I found myself stranded on a highway off-ramp. The mechanic's diagnosis was devastating—an urgent need to replace my transmission and a cracked casing, with an estimated cost of $6700. Without reliable transportation, my pet sitting dreams were shattered. Yet, in the face of adversity, a silver lining emerged—I secured a full-time and part-time job starting in February. Now, I humbly turn to you, my community, for support. Your contribution to my fundraiser will not only repair my means of transport but also help me stand on my own two feet again.
