URGENT APPEAL FOR DAMAGE CAUSED IN COASTAL VILLAGES DUE TO CYCLONE NISARGA

We are setting up an URGENT APPEAL for the devastation caused by the Cyclone Nisarga, heavy winds and huge excess rainfall over the last couple of days.

Dear friends. On the 3rd of June, cyclone Nisarga bulldozed through the Western Coastal Villages and surrounding areas of India.  There are still power cuts, huge fallen trees all over as well as food shortages along with the corona virus lockdown in place.  It is heartbreaking to see such images and videos from our ancestral roots back home .  THEY NEED OUR HELP..

Needs are apparent for food, safe water, medicine, rebuilding homes, cleaning up of the trees - the list just goes on and on.  Any funds would help these poor souls. We still don't even know the whereabouts of many family friends in the villages.  We will make sure EVERYTHING we raise, will go directly to hands of people in dire needs. I do have family and friends who are working now with the relief efforts.

This has caused Immense Damage to Homes and Families across the Coastal Regions of the Kokan District.  Villages such as Shrivardhan, Mhasla, Dighi, Murud, Dasgaon, Dapoli, Ratnagiri etc have all been affected heavily.  With Thousands of pounds of damage.  The Cyclone has torn through the Western Coastal region of India..

In these VERY DIFFICULT Times, Let us extend ourselves and HELP this Humanitarian Cause in Need, by getting funds together so we can try and support AS MANY households and Families torn apart by this Very Sad Devastation.  

My aim is to generate funds to aid support for as many families back home within these regions, to allow them to even begin the process of normality.  I would also like to add that this very much needed cause has been started as a Humanitarian Aid to help those most in need.  For example, homes and families who are not fortunate enough to have supportive families and friends abroad in countries like ours who could support them in these Very Distressing times.  I have instructed builders and people on the ground to begin carrying out the works.

The purpose of this appeal and the way we are intending to use its proceeds is to help put up as many roof tiles back up onto small homes which have been left torn and without roofs due to the cyclone.   Any of which are single story homes where the residents and families have nolower level floor to shelter themselves under.  Your generous donations will be greatly appreciated to help those in most need.

For the purposes of transparency, i myself the organiser of this Fundraiser campaign will be withdrawing and managing the funds raised from the GoFundMe platform.  The Funds are being directly transferred to Builders on the ground who are carrying out the works.  Currently we have a Team of Both Kazi Builders of Mhasla and Nadkar Builders in Shrivardhan handling and managing our Relief Efforts on the ground.

I have set up this EMERGENCY APPEAL for the Cyclone Nisarga Recovery and Restoration Project for the affected areas of Kokan, India to support the local residents and facilitate restoration and recovery from the damage to livelihoods and infrastructure caused by the Devastating Cyclone and humbly request your generous donations.
