نور حِجّو رجل كرّس حياته لخدمة مجتمعه في شمال غزة. على الرغم من إصابته وظروفه الصعبة، كرّس وقته وجهده لرعاية الأطفال، ومساندة الأسر النازحة، وبناء مدرسة لتكون بارقة أمل وسط الحرب.

لكن قبل يومين فقط، وقعت مأساة جديدة. فقد تم تدمير منزل عائلته بالكامل، إلى جانب المدرسة التي كان يعمل على بنائها، وحيّه بأكمله، وكل ما بناه بجهد وتعب ذهب في لحظة.

لم يكن هذا مجرد منزل وجدران. بل كان بيت العائلة الذي آوى عدة أسر ونازحين. كان يحتوي على مدرسة صغيرة لتعليم الأطفال خلال فترة الحرب، ومطبخ يُعِد الطعام للذين لا مُعيل لهم، كما كان يُقدّم وجبات ساخنة ويوزّع المشروبات الباردة للعطشى في الشوارع. كان مكانًا مليئًا بالخير والرحمة — ملجأً للأطفال والأسر التي لا تملك مأوى.

كل ذلك اختفى في غمضة عين تحت العدوان الغاشم على غزة. مكان شهد على الكثير من فعل الخير ورسم البسمة على وجوه الأطفال لم يعد موجودًا.

لكن كما يقول نور: الخير والعطاء فكرة — والفكرة لا تموت بذهاب المكان. حلمه أن يعيد البناء، ويواصل مساعدة الآخرين، ويفتح أبواب التعليم للأطفال، ويُوفّر الرعاية للأكثر ضعفًا.

اليوم، أصبح نور وزوجته ووالدته مشردين، بلا مأوى ولا استقرار، ولم يتبقّ لهم سوى إرادة البقاء والاستمرار في رسالتهم. إنهم بحاجة ماسة إلى دعمنا لتأمين المأوى والطعام والأمان — ثم لإعادة بناء منزلهم والمشاريع التي جلبت الأمل للكثيرين.

All of it disappeared in the blink of an eye under the brutal aggression on Gaza. A place that witnessed so much good and lifted the spirits of children is now gone.

But as Nour says: light and giving are ideas — and ideas cannot be destroyed by the loss of a place. His dream is to rebuild, to continue helping others, to open the doors of learning for children, and to provide care for the most vulnerable.

Today, Nour, his wife, and his mother are displaced, left with nothing but the will to survive and to continue their mission. They urgently need our support to secure shelter, food, and safety — and eventually to rebuild their home and the projects that brought hope to so many.
