Alaa once lived in Gaza with her family, in a home filled with jasmine, laughter, and the warm voice of her father.

One day, a missile turned that home into dust. She lost her father, her beloved aunt, two cousins, and the feeling of safety she once knew.

With nothing but her soul and her little dog Coco, she escaped Gaza after months of fear.

Coco, traumatized by the bombings, now needs continuous care. Two weeks after her father’s passing, her sister gave birth to a baby boy with a rare neurological condition, a fragile life that Alaa now helps care for.

Today, Alaa and her mother live in a small rented apartment in a new city, far from everything familiar. She carries the weight of loss, responsibility, and hope.

She still writes, documents stories, and gives back to others, but she cannot carry it all alone anymore.

Every donation helps her build a safe home for her mother, support her nephew’s medical care, and heal Coco’s trauma.
