Hi, I’m Bob Bradley, a professor of Art History and Archaeology who just retired from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I have been a popular teacher with a wonderful Peru study abroad program, but for the past 2 years, I’ve been battling a disease that took my large intestine. I asked for my full payout when I retired in December to help me fight my illness. I weigh 107 lbs now, and my weight last year was 155. I have to go to the hospital 2x a week for hydration, and I’m not absorbing enough nutrients, so I’m getting weaker.
The Teacher Retirement System of Texas owes me $93,000, but because of their paperwork, they won’t pay until the end of February, and they are unmoved by the fact that I could die before then. My doctor, Texas Digestive Specialist Dr. Dao, has worked to get me an experimental drug to aid with absorption, but it’s expensive, and I’m working on getting IV treatments at home, but TRS is holding back my money, which I contributed to over the years.
Please help me pay for my treatment and expenses until the end of February!
Bob Bradley
