GO FUND ME – URGENT AID NEEDED FOR MARIA AND CHILDREN
For their safety, we’re not using photos, actual names or country. We are raising funds to support these family members during these unimaginable times in Minnesota. Their needs are urgent, This family has been torn apart. Financial help is needed to support legal fees, rent, groceries, medications, transportation costs and procuring beds.
Ana, Maria’s sister, was suddenly, unexpectedly and roughly picked up in Minneapolis, by ICE. She is in Texas and may be deported shortly to a country where she would be in imminent danger.
We have known Maria for years, met her through Sister Margaret at church, Maria helps with our family and was a major caretaker for Linda for several years before she died. Maria is the same as a family member and we love her dearly. She is now the sole support of her family which has grown overnight and it wasn’t easy before. Maria has five children at home and her mother also lives with them. Her youngest child, 6 years old, has serious medical needs. Ana’s three children are now living with Maria, they are experiencing fear with this sudden separation, They all are scared, not knowing their Mother’s welfare. Is she eating and how is she sleeping? There are now ten people living together in Maria’s three-bedroom home.

Se necesita ayuda financiera para cubrir los gastos legales actuales, el alquiler, la comida, los medicamentos, el transporte y la compra de dos camas individuales. Ana, es madre esoltera , la hermana de María, fue detenida repentinamente en Minneapolis por ICE. Se encuentra en Texas y podría ser deportada pronto a un país donde correría peligro inminente. Conocemos a María desde hace años. La conocimos a de la iglesia. La hermana Margaret nos habló de ella. María ayuda con nuestra familia y cuidó de Linda durante varios años. Salir de casa para trabajar es arriesgado para ella.
María tiene cinco hijos en casa, de 6, 10, 13, 17 y 19 años, y su madre vive con ellos. Su hijo menor tiene graves problemas de salud.
Los tres hijos de Ana, de 10, 15 y 18 años, ahora viven con María. Sienten miedo e incertidumbre por esta repentina separación y están asustados al no saber cómo está su madre, si come o si puede dormir. Saben que su seguridad también está en riesgo. Ahora viven diez personas en la casa de tres habitaciones de María.
