My name is PaulaJo Baker Jeffers, and I am starting this GoFundMe page for Jessica Thompson. Jessica has truly become a member of my family. Together, she and my son Jeremiah started a company in 2020, rescuing and restoring books and furniture that would end up in the trash. Because the company is self-run, finances are tight.

Recently, Jessica was diagnosed with a cyst, which they have playfully named “Freddy Cyst Jr.” The cyst has quickly gone from the size of a pea to becoming now larger than a grapefruit. Jessica needs our help to get surgery to remove and biopsy this cyst as soon as possible. It is beginning to effect her work and their only source of income. She continues to work as hard as she can, keeping their company afloat, even with all of her struggles. Jessica pushes through not only out of necessity, but also because she is passionate about the work that they do. She is completely committed to saving books and getting them into homes and making older furniture new and usable again. But the larger the cyst grows, the more she finds herself in an incredible amount of pain. It is increasingly harder for her to accomplish the things that she needs to do throughout her day. The cyst has become so big that she has even started vomiting after eating.

In order for her to get this surgery, she needs to pay her portion up front. Since the risk of her cyst rupturing is very high, and the effect it is having on her day to day life; it is crucial that she gets this surgery NOW.

It is against Jessica's nature to ever ask for help, yet she is always the first one to help others in any way that she can. Jessica lovingly helped take care of both of my parents in their aging years right up to the end. She did this out of love for us and my family. Currently, she is taking care of her father as he is struggling with major health issues.

Jessica never asks or wants anything in return. Please help us give back to this amazing woman as she has spent her life giving to others.
