Posting this is embarrassing, but I really need as much help as possible right now. Recently, I was evicted from my home due to retaliation from a previous relationship. I have 28 days to secure a job and apartment, all of which I am actively working towards, but with a total disability and lack of community resources, I feel hopeless. My disability is a rare degenerative neuromuscular disease, and I depend on a wheelchair. This makes it almost impossible to stay with family, who also live hours away. I have applied for a wheelchair-accessible apartment in Tigard, where I will be starting school soon, but I was not prepared for all of the moving costs. To hold the apartment, I have to pay a $500 security deposit. I understand everyone is struggling now. It’s not easy for me to do this, but I don’t have any other choice. Every little donation helps tremendously.
