Urgent Aid Needed for Grigio's Surgery

Grigio is a beautiful young Newfoundland that belongs to my co-worker and friend, Mariah. Those that know Mariah know her story and the pain and loss that she has endured. Despite her own anguish, she has continued to help and reach out to those around her, offering support in whatever way she can. Now she and Grigio need support. Grigio started throwing up this past Tuesday and Mariah brought her to work (she works at a veterinary clinic). X-rays were suspicious for an intestinal blockage, but were not definitive at that time. She was treated and and sent home for the night, but she worsened overnight and had to be taken to Hershey Animal Emergency Center for care. The next day she was transferred back to Mariah's work and had surgery to remove a toy from her intestines. After surgery she had to be transferred back to the emergency clinic for post-operative care.

As if 2 emergency clinic visits were not enough, last night Grigio had to go back a 3rd time for a severe infection related to surgery. The infection has not responded to the antibiotics, so she will have to have another surgery to get the infection under control. At this point Mariah does not have a way to pay for surgery or or post-operative care.
