For about a year now, no Palestinian has been safe to live there. The continuous bombing of Gaza has completely destroyed more than 75-80% of the homes, buildings, schools, universities, libraries, and most importantly, hospitals in the Strip, with the complete destruction of the infrastructure. Completely.
Over 40,000 Palestinians have been killed so far in the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, with thousands more missing under the rubble, and thousands more seriously injured/ill. Moreover, with a lack of facilities, medical equipment and medicines, the situation has become largely unbearable.
Like many Gazans, Nada, 19, and her father, are trying to save the lives of his family of eight by moving them to a safe area or livable city. In her own words:
“In the beginning, we are a united family that has always worked hard and is completely independent. Until the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza, we lost mentally, psychologically and physically. Due to the severity of life here, the fear.
Nada’s mother’s story:
My mother suffers from blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes, and she needs a safe place away from the bombing because that affects her heartbeat and makes her feel suffocated.
Nada's Story:
Hello, my name is Nada. A 19-year-old high school graduate student from Gaza. I dreamed of studying commerce. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing war, my studies were postponed and my dreams were shattered. My family and I were forced to move constantly and flee from our house, which was completely destroyed, as it carried the meaning of warmth, love and safety. Then we took refuge in southern Gaza in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, and now we live in a tent that does not protect us from the heat of the sun or the cold of winter. My family and I need your support and help in order to survive. Change our lives for the better and travel toAbroad to complete my studies and achieve my dreams. Please help me raise money. Even $5 can make a huge difference in my life. Thank you!
Campaign Goal:
“To be able to escape the war zone and the danger of the bombing to an outside place that is safe and secure.”
This fundraiser is their only way of urgently achieving this. As mentioned before, they will need help to raise about a total of $32,000 USD for their family to reach to Egypt and to be able to start a new life there. With everyone’s help, we hope to make this dream a reality for them.
Any donation will help them greatly.
We sincerely thank you in advance for any help you can provide and greatly appreciate it.
I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Nada Elkhatib from Palestine. All proceeds go towards their family's safety. She reached out to me for hope. You can help Nada and her family rebuild their lives.
