Urgent Aid Needed for David's Health and Home

My name is David Kellems, and over the past three years, I have tried twice to raise money for my mother's house. Both times were for repairs, with the second concluding shortly after she died in January of 2024. Unfortunately, both attempts were far from successful, probably because I didn't do enough to promote the fundraiser. I was working at the time, and between that and caring for my mother (plus a combination of guilt and shame at having to ask), there simply wasn't enough of myself left to pour into putting together a proper fundraising campaign.

I'm here now to ask for your help again. Mom's house has been foreclosed on, and it will be put up for sale on July 17, 2025. I did everything I could to try to keep the payments up, but my health is poor, and frequent extended hospital stays (I am 57 years old, I have Cystic Fibrosis, and I'm on oxygen full-time) put me in a bind from which I was unable to extricate myself. However, there is a bright side. I was recently contacted by a local nonprofit organization that advocates for people whose homes have been foreclosed on, and they informed me that I would be entitled to any money gained from the sale in excess of the amount owed to the realtor, minus a $2,500 fee for the service. (There will be no fee if the house doesn't sell for enough to cover it.)

Because the date of the sale is a little over a month away, I need money to pay my other bills until the sale goes through, after which I hope to have enough to move to a state that is better for my health (Northern Indiana is hell for me, especially during the winter, and having to drive two hours each way to receive medical care for CF makes it much worse).

I left my job as a package handler at FedEx in November of last year because I could no longer tolerate the heavy physical labor involved. I'm sorry if this body of writing seems disjointed or wanders back and forth, but I'm trying to make sure I don't miss any important details. I know I could have been clearer in the past, so I'm trying to do better.

I'm still ashamed of having to ask for help, but I figure that if just giving money to someone in need makes you uncomfortable, maybe buying a beat-up house on almost two acres of land is more your speed. The amount owed to the realtor is roughly $56,000, but the property is valued at over $180,000. I've added a video briefly describing the place, and I'll try to give more in the future.

I've included videos of the house from my previous fundraisers to try to give as much context and history to the situation as possible.
