Urgent: Help Me Save My Mother’s Life

Hello,

My name is Christine, and today, I am reaching out for your generosity to please help me save my mother’s life. She is currently hospitalized in Haiti, critically ill. Doctors have diagnosed her with kidney failure, severe inflammation of the gallbladder, severe dehydration and critical anemia requiring an urgent blood transfusion.

Unfortunately, we have no insurance and no financial means to cover her medical care and hospital stay, which needs to last at least two weeks. I am still awaiting result of some more exams that are being done to know if she 'll need a kidney transplant or not. I had to borrow money to pay for her admission, and every additional day is a cost that i can't afford on my own because i have been unemployed for months already. I live in New York where it's so hard to find a job even when you have a degree.

What is killing me is that I am miles away from her, unable to travel due to a lack of funds for a plane ticket and expenses to get to Port au prince where she currently is. I'm relying on a friend to help me taking care of her but it's not enough i have to be there in person even to authorize certain medical procedures to say the least. My mother is all I have left—I have no father, no siblings, no children, no husband, no family member in Haiti to help me with this situation. Haiti is a no men land and almost all the people i could count on are dead or fled the country because of how dangerous it is. I understand that by traveling there i am putting myself in danger but I'm ready for that because my mom is all i have in this world. She is alone and vulnerable, and I refuse to let her face this battle without support.

Today, I humbly ask for your help to:

Cover her hospital and medical expenses

Purchase the necessary medications and blood transfusions she needs to survive

Allow me to travel to be by her side during this critical time
