I'm really embarrassed it has come to me asking for help. Since my cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment, I haven't been able to work. My biological father was helping me until he passed away in early November. Now I'm behind in rent and my car has major issues. I'm just looking to pay my outstanding rent and get my car back to a safe running condition. If this was just me, I'd try to tough it out, but I have my grandchildren and I have to provide for them. I don't want them to face the embarrassment of eviction. My court date is next week, but if I can pay it off in court, there is a good chance we can stay put.
