Urgent Aid Needed: 61-Year-Old's Road to Recovery

My friend, who is 61yrs old, was scheduled for back surgery on January 30, 2025. It should have been a total of a 4-5 day stay once the surgery was finished. Unfortunately, a series of complications followed which ended up with her having 5 surgeries within 15 days. She also ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks. During this time, she had lost feeling in both of her legs and is currently in a wheelchair. Now, this is a woman who has her own business in her home. She was a licensed childcare teacher and had planned to resume her business. Sadly, until she is able to regain her strength and be able to walk again, she had to close her business. She is continuing physical therapy and occupational therapy. She has a nurse come out 3 days a week to tend to her wound vac. NOW...she is out of money to sustain herself and her home. She lives alone (with the exception of her fur babies). She has me and other friends who come help her throughout the day and night until it's safe for her to stay alone. I am trying to help raise money for her so that she is able to remain in her home and pay her bills. She has applied for disability, but we know how long that process takes.
