What is happening in Yemen is considered one of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world according to United Nations. One out of ten children die from starvation. That is 10% of all children in Yemen. The UN has warned us that 18.4 million peoples lives will be in danger of starving to death by the end of this year. This number of deaths equates to almost 3 times the current population of Ireland.
I have partnered up with Trocaire and I hope to raise as much money as I possibly can in the next month. Trocaire are supporting Yemen through a third-party organisation, who are reaching out to 205 households (1,435 individuals) in the area of Abyan in Yemen. It is supplying Emergency Lifesaving Food. This will save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity of conflict-affected people in Yemen.
In these difficult times, some of us have the ability to do good and make a difference to countless numbers of families. Children are starving to death and with these donations we are saving lives.
