Urgent Aid for Uncle Jeff’s Recovery

Donation protected
On Friday, March 14th, my uncle was the victim of a hit and run in Portland, Oregon, and is currently being hospitalized with serious injuries. I created this fundraiser in conjunction with my family as we have decided to share my uncle's story and hope to raise funds towards his extensive recovery. We thank and appreciate you for taking the time to read and share his story.

His story: On Friday, March 14th, while walking home from work around 10 p.m. on West Burnside Street and Southwest 13th Avenue, he was brutally hit by a large black SUV that fled the scene, leaving my uncle in the road unconscious and with deadly injuries. The vehicle involved has a shattered right front headlight as a result of the impact. Police are actively searching for the vehicle and have a detailed description of the driver. Thankfully, there were many around to witness the incident, and he survived thanks to the bystander who performed CPR until emergency services arrived. He was transported to the hospital and admitted to the ICU with severe bleeding on both sides of his brain among various other injuries. Currently still in the hospital, he is suffering from immense pain and memory loss. His recovery will be extensive and focus on cognitive, physical, and speech therapies. He has no family in the area he currently resides and as a result will have to travel across country for recovery, all with limited income and insurance coverage. Thank you for your consideration.

Below are a couple articles detailing the incident.
