Friends, especially trombonists in the Houston area:

I had emergency surgery in February to repair a large abdominal aortic aneurism. We were incredibly lucky that it was found in time, and my surgeon did a fantastic job. I feel blessed, and grateful to still be on this side of the grass. (It was apparently a very near thing.)

However: even with payment plans etc., our budget was stretched to the limit. Then we had some other expenses recently that pushed us over the brink. Long story short, I have 2 weeks to "find" at least $800, or we will be in trouble.

If any of you reading this can help, it would be appreciated. Feel free to message me privately. I should be able to repay you later this year.

So, why the Houston area trombonists? I have a beautiful Elkhart Bach Stradivarius model 16 M tenor trombone which I would hate to part with, but something's got to give. It looks like a used one runs for about $1,800 (from what I could determine online), but I'm in a bind and will accept less than that if you feel that's too much.
