My name is Robin Angle and I am a 55-year-old widow that is currently in a huge bind! On May 12th, I sustained major trauma to my ankle after slipping and falling on the painted front porch of my rental home .

After the fall, I crawled into the house to get my phone and wallet  and to change out of my work scrubs. I was then transported by ambulance to WH Hospital. I had a closed reduction procedure that night while in the ED and was placed in a splint up to my thigh and was then taken to a private room. The next morning the orthopedist came in and said he would do the surgery the following morning…there was an tri-malleolar fracture, dislocation and severely compromised tendons and ligaments. I assumed that meant all he’d repair all deficiencies! Boy was I wrong. I was told at each follow up the bones were healing nicely! But, the pain kept getting worse. The last appointment the surgeon said he’d have to refer me out to a trauma orthopaedic (which the ER Dr. wanted me transferred to the night I came into the hospital) due to the soft tissue injuries not healing.  A post - op 8 mm clear space gap had now increased to 10.82 mm, and he doesn’t work on ligaments and tendons.  A 4th fracture is now 

also present on the X-ray. After the first 2 procedures the out of pocket costs are $7250. Now I have changed health insurance due to my surgeon being out of network and now will have to pay for deductibles/co-insurance again. So far $ 6.038.52 as an estimate. My 3rd surgery is scheduled for July 27th and this estimate needs to be paid before the procedure can be completed. Through all the challenges My daughter and son-in-law said it’s best for me to stay with them and helped me pack and move everything to their house. GOD, I love them for this and I can not thank them enough!!! I DON’T ASK FOR HELP, but I need it. Any gift or donation will helpful.
