Richanda Knowlin was born August 23, 1979, in Georgetown, SC. A proud graduate of Choppee High School, class of 1997, a loving mother, and a devoted member of Chester Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she sings in the choir and is a youth department advisor.
Richanda has recently faced a terrifying medical emergency. While on a trip to Mexico celebrating her birthday, she suddenly suffered from severe hypoglycemia that caused multiple seizures. Due to the seriousness of her condition, she had to be airlifted back to the U.S. by a medical plane and is now hospitalized in Miami.
She is currently in a medically induced coma as doctors run several tests to ensure she regains full functionality and strength. This has been an incredibly stressful and emotional time for our family, and on top of it all, the medical bills for her emergency care and transport are overwhelming.
Richanda is one of the most caring, selfless, and loving people you could ever meet. She has always been the type of person to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or show up for anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. Now, she is the one who needs help.
We are humbly asking for your support during this difficult time. Anything you can give, whether big or small, will be deeply appreciated and will go directly toward her medical expenses and recovery. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, kindness, and generosity.
UPDATE!!!!
Richanda has been moved from the ICU to the progressive recovery unit, which is a positive step forward in her healing journey. She is now beginning therapy and rehabilitation to help her regain strength and work toward a full recovery.
With your continued prayers, love, and support, we believe she can return to her full self again in time. We are deeply grateful for every prayer, share, donation, and word of encouragement you’ve offered. Please continue to lift her up in prayer and keep believing with us that God will answer.
“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord.” — Jeremiah 30:17
