Ironically, I graduated Physical Therapy LAST WEEK! Following strength building since breaking my knee three years ago. As well as getting hit as a pedestrian crossing the street one year ago, this June 30th.
My leg had been atrophied. Twice. I had been working hard to get it strong again. Daily stretching & strength building. Squats etc.
With good days and bad days when it comes to pain. Bad days are full leg aching since the accident.
Yesterday, I was weed whacking at home. As I was making a motion across the grass with the weed whacker, I took a step back & up on an incline. I had my head phones on, so I don’t know if it made a sound or not. However, it felt like I got shot in the leg. My right hurt leg, on the left side of my lower calf, there was a very painful popping feeling. A ripping or tearing of a tendon or muscle at the base of my calf. I could feel it was serious right away, couldn’t walk or put weight on it. Crying a lot.
I was given crutches & a boot at the ER. Awaiting a Dr. appointment today at 3:45 to receive a referral for an MRI to find out more details. As of right now I can’t walk or drive or work….. for at least 2-4 weeks. (Maybe longer.) With life coming at me fast.
Alas, I must ask for help from friends and family. I humbly ask for support within bandwidths. ❤️
