Hello, I'm Tyler Francischine. I'm a 35-year-old journalist and event planner living in Gainesville, Florida. I am urgently asking to receive your financial support for our friend, Osama Mohammed, a 24-year-old man living in Gaza who has undergone and continues to endure unthinkable hardships. Please learn about Osama’s life in his own words, and consider the tremendous impact that your donation will make on his family.

This is Osama’s story:

“My name is Osama Mohammed. I am 24, and I have two children. My daughter, Lama, is 4, and my son, Adam, is eight months old. My wife, Alaa, left me when she died during childbirth.

“After the death of both my wife and my mother, I started living with my sisters and brothers and their children. It was my mother’s final wish before she died for us to stay together as a family. Now, we are a family who cares for each other and looks after one another.

“My house was destroyed six months ago, and my daughter was injured in her eye by shrapnel from this incident. Before this war, we were a family who could live in safety and peace in our warm house. We never stretched out our hands in hunger and thirst. Our life was beautiful. Now, we suffer from both hunger and thirst, and we do not have a place to shelter us from the cold. We were displaced multiple times, staying in schools and hospitals, and now we live in a tent. We suffer from insects getting into the tent, and with winter approaching, we need nylon to cover our tent from the cold and the rain. We need blankets to keep warm. We need food and water.

“I am a graduate of the Department of Electricity, and I am ambitious and persistent. I recently graduated, and I started working in electricity while also working as a chef. Unfortunately, my life was turned upside down in October 2023. Since then, thousands of lives have been lost in Gaza, and many hard-working, loving people like me have lost their jobs and their only source of income.

“If it were not for this campaign, I would not be able to buy food for my children and me. We live on donation money. My message to all who can see this campaign is to support me and my family, and to please not let us down. We are in dire need of your donations so that we can live, buy food, and give my daughter the treatment she badly needs for her eye. Therefore, I ask for your support with all my wishes and all my love.”
