Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I am reaching out in a time of unimaginable heartbreak. My sister-in-law just passed away; she left behind her three children, ages 19, 16, and 7. These young souls have already endured so much after losing their father to COVID-19 in April 2020. Now, they face the devastating loss of their mother and the uncertainty of a future without their parents.

This family has no savings or possessions to fall back on, and the burden of funeral expenses, rent, and basic necessities now rests on the oldest sibling, who recently had to leave UCLA to work and provide for his younger siblings. These children need a community of support to help them navigate this difficult chapter and rebuild their lives.

We are humbly asking for your help to:

1. Cover the funeral expenses for my sister-in-law so her children can say goodbye with dignity.

2. Relocate and stabilize the children, ensuring they have a safe home and access to education and essential resources.

3. Provide immediate financial support for rent, food, and other living expenses, especially as the oldest sibling steps into the role of caregiver.

No child should have to endure this level of loss and responsibility at such a young age. Your kindness can help alleviate some of the burdens they face and provide them with the foundation they need to heal and move forward.
