My children and I are facing an immediate crisis after a series of traumatic events destabilized our family.
Federal immigration agents detained my husband and my father. That same night, officers forcibly entered my home without a judicial warrant. My children and I are U.S. citizens. Agents entered with guns drawn while my children were inside, damaged our front door, and searched our home. When they left, the door was severely damaged, leaving us unsafe and exposed.
With my husband detained, our family’s primary income was suddenly gone. I struggled to cover rent and utilities while caring for my children, including my one-year-old. The fear, stress, and uncertainty took a severe toll on our family.
While our front door remained broken and the home unsecured, someone broke in. Our house was ransacked. Drawers were emptied, belongings scattered, and most critically, my husband’s immigration paperwork was stolen.
My children and I are now houseless. We urgently need help covering food, temporary shelter, basic necessities, and legal costs related to replacing stolen documents. My children are traumatized, displaced, and without stability.
