This past February i decided to rescue an 8 month old Calico kitty named Nessie. I quickly learned that in addition to her big eyes, she has the biggest heart. Unfortunately after having Nessie for a few weeks I noticed that she was congested and began sneezing. Fast forward a long few months of appointments, exams, scans, medications, lots of doctors, and $2,000+ in out of pocket medical costs, she seems to be an a bit of a medical mystery. This past Saturday however she did not move or eat for 12 hours, was acting markedly differently, and appeared to be struggling to breathe. I rushed her into an ER that could take and she has been there since in the ICU as they determined that she wouldn’t have been able make it through the night without oxygen. They determined that something is going on in her lungs, and think pneumonia, but won’t be able to know/properly treat her without the needed testing. The testing she needs costs $3,000+ which I am now no longer able to afford as a result of her ICU stay. Obviously she really needs these tests in order to ensure she gets the care she needs, and have started this GoFundMe as her and I are in serious financial need as a result of just her stay in the ICU for 1 night costing about $$3,800. Without your help, Nessie will need to be pulled from the ICU this afternoon, and I will most likely need to surrender her if I am not able to raise enough money to afford her medical care. This situation has left me heartbroken and helpless. Any donations no matter the amount are greatly appreciated as I have depleted all my savings and finances trying to give this baby a fighting chance!
