Over the past nine months, our community has raised nearly $11,000 for the Nazeer family in Gaza. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has donated, shared the fundraiser, and walked alongside this family during an incredibly difficult chapter of their lives.
With your generosity, the Nazeer family has been able to meet urgent needs, including securing shelter, purchasing food, clothing, and medicine, and even supporting Abed’s father through a critical surgery. Through constant displacement, uncertainty, and loss, these funds have worked to provide a sense of stability as the family navigates circumstances none of us should have to face.
As we enter the final phase of this campaign, we are hoping to raise ~$3,500 over the next month.
From the beginning, the purpose of this fundraiser was to help the Nazeer family survive a crisis and move toward a future where they could once again support themselves. We are now approaching that milestone.
Abed's goal is to reopen his refrigeration business and begin generating sustainable income for his family. The remaining funds will help him purchase the equipment and supplies needed to get started. Abed (26) and his wife (20) are raising one child (2) and are preparing to welcome another baby. After everything their family has endured, Abed is eager to return to work, rebuild his business, and provide for his family. Once we reach our fundraising goal, this campaign will close.
We are honored to have accompanied them on a small part of their journey and grateful to everyone who has helped make that possible. As we make this final push, we invite our community to give or share one more time. Thank you for coming alongside the Nazeer family in the last year!

Ning Wan and Justin Li are the coordinators of this GoFundMe. Abed and Ning met through mutual friends that volunteer to help the crisis in Gaza. Both Ning and Justin are based in the United States. GoFundMe is not available in Gaza, so we are coordinating this fundraiser on behalf of the Nazeer family. 100% of the money raised will be wired to Abed’s bank account. We are taking action because we believe in protecting basic human rights. No one deserves to go without food and live under these conditions.
